CET is built specifically for the construction industry. The scenarios reflect the kinds of decisions professionals encounter around procurement, bids, change orders, vendor relationships, gifts, project costs, quality, and client expectations.

Why it matters: learners do not have to translate generic corporate ethics concepts into construction situations—they see the issues in a context they already understand.

Realistic, Acted-Out Scenes

Realistic, Acted-Out Scenes

CET shows the situation unfolding and escalating through realistic construction-based interactions. Participants see the people, conversations, pressures, competing interests, and consequences surrounding a decision.

Why it matters: this makes ethically difficult situations easier to recognize, understand, and remember when similar circumstances arise on a real project.

Judgement Focused

Realistic, Acted-Out Scenes

Judgement Focused

CET is not built around fear-based messaging or simple rule memorization. The program is designed to help participants recognize ethical risk, consider the pressures surrounding a decision, and think through how they should respond.

Why it matters: Bad ethical choices rarely begin as obvious misconduct. Strong judgment helps professionals recognize when a situation is crossing the line.

CET Training Module Descriptions

Program Opening

An overview of why ethics matter in construction and what's at stake when ethical standards aren't upheld.

Bid / Award Integrity

Participants explore the real-world pressures surrounding competitive bids and learn to recognize conduct that crosses legal and ethical lines.

Change Order Integrity

Change Order Integrity

This module examines how change order abuse occurs, how to recognize it, and how to handle change order situations with transparency and fairness.

Kickbacks

Change Order Integrity

Explores the dynamics of kickback schemes in construction; how they start, how they escalate, and how professionals can recognize and avoid them.

Bribery

Explores how bribery can surface around contract awards, change orders, etc., helping participants recognize and avoid improper offers, disguised arrangements, and ethical pitfalls.

Gifts & Entertainment

Not all gifts are bribes, but the line between goodwill and improper influence is often blurry in construction. This module helps professionals navigate vendor and client relationships with integrity.

Quality Manipulation & Integrity

Helps participants recognize and respond to ethical pressures involving construction quality, compliance, and project documentation.

Consequences of Unethical Behavior

Brings the program full circle by examining the real organizational, legal, and personal consequences of ethical failures in construction, making the stakes concrete and clear.

Program Completion Certification

Program Completion Certification

Each participant completes a knowledge assessment upon finishing the modules. Successful completion earns a Certificate of Completion, providing your organization with a documented record of ethics training.
